NBA Free Agency Predictions

A list of NBA Free Agents and where they'll be heading.

NBA Free Agency starts July 1st. You’ve already read a ton of rumors about where certain players are going, but I’m here to tell you what’s truth. We’re only dealing with unrestricted free agents because most restricted free agents will stay with their current team.

LeBron James

LeBron is staying in Cleveland unless he truly is the super villain that many people make him out to be. Don’t rule that out, by the way. He’ll take his time re-signing since he’s also the team’s general manager and will be busy recruiting other players and signing them to deals, but he’ll re-sign. But seriously, don’t rule out him spurning Cleveland because who actually wants to stay in Cleveland?

Rajon Rondo

He’ll end up on the Lakers or some team that you probably don’t care about like the Utah Jazz or Philadelphia 76ers. Everyone says that the Lakers are out of the running now that they drafted D’Angelo Russell, but if they trade Russell for DeMarcus Cousins, they’ll need a point guard.

Goran Dragic

He’ll stay with Miami because they are offering him a ton of money and Miami strippers.

Dwyane Wade

Id’ be shocked if he leaves Miami, but maybe he goes to Cleveland since LeBron is the only player who can carry him. Don’t rule out Dallas since Mark Cuban loves to spend money and Chicago if the Bulls are stupidly prepared to let Jimmy Butler walk.

Monta Ellis

If Wade leaves Miami, Ellis will end up as his replacement. If Wade stays in Miami, Ellis will go to some irrelevant team.

Danny Green

He’s going to Charlotte because Michael Jordan loves signing UNC players. This would actually be a good signing.

Marc Gasol

He’ll stay in Memphis, where he’s appreciated or join is brother in Chicago, forcing them to trade Joakim Noah.

DeAndre Jordan

He stays with the Clippers or goes to the Mavericks, who then deal Tyson Chandler to the Clippers.

LaMarcus Aldridge

If he’s smart, he goes to the Spurs where Greg Popovich and Tim Duncan can mask his weaknesses. But I feel like he’s a money chaser, which means he’ll end up with the Knicks or Lakers.

Kevin Love

If the Knicks end up with Aldridge, Love goes to the Lakers. If the Lakers end up with Aldridge, Love goes to the Knicks.

Paul Pierce

He’ll re-unite with Doc Rivers in Los Angeles, where he and Chris Paul can continue to fake injuries together.

Paul Millsap and DeMarre Carroll

The former Hawks are both going to Boston.

Greg Monroe

He’ll be Aldridge’s replacement in Portland and almost immediately blow out his knees.

Brook Lopez

The future Hall of Famer will sign with whatever team Samer Kadi tells him to sign with.
